DNC Vice Chair Michael Blake will join former 2016 Senate Candidate Jason Kander (MO) and Author Zack Roth on June 22nd at NYDLC’s annual Protect the Franchise Fundraiser. Join the NY Democratic Lawyers Council on Thursday night from 6:30pm – 8:30pm at Gibson, Dunn and Crutcher, 200 Park Avenue, Manhattan.

2016 Senate Candidate and Missouri’s 39th Secretary of State Jason Kander, founder of “Let America Vote”. Jason has an enduring commitment to voting rights and was recently appointed Chair of the DNC’s new Commission to Protect American Democracy from the Trump Administration.
DNC Vice Chair and NYS Assemblymember Michael Blake, a veteran of the Obama White House who returned home to the Bronx to run for State Assembly in 2014. In 2017 he was elected Vice Chair of the DNC and serves on the board of iVote
Zachary Roth, former national reporter for MSNBC and author of The Great Suppression: Voting Rights, Corporate Cash, and the Conservative Assault on Democracy, a compelling account of how long-standing conservative efforts like voter suppression have undermined and distorted our democracy.
This weekend, more than 15 NYDLCers are heading south to help Georgia Democrats and Congressional Candidate Jon Ossoff protect the rights of voters when they go to the polls this Tuesday, and right here in New York, NYDLC is pushing lawmakers in Albany to enact critical pro-voter reforms like early voting and automatic registration before the end of the 2017 session.
