10:00 AM – City Comptroller Scott Stringer delivers Keynote Address at 161st BID Annual Meeting.

10:30 AM – Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz and transit advocates discuss the MTA funding gap and the “summer of hell” for aging transit network in the city. Penn Station entrance, 8th Avenue and West 31st Street, Manhattan.

6:00 PM – Bronx Borough President Rubén Díaz Jr. and state Sen. Jeff Klein host the borough’s official kickoff to the Independence Day celebrations, the annual New York Salutes America boardwalk festival and fireworks extravaganza, Orchard Beach, Bronx.
