TM Hanks Yanks Dominate on All-Star Tuesday

At Randall’s Island Park Tuesday afternoon it was an all-star day win for the TM Baseball Training Academy Hanks Yanks 16u team as they dominated the Razorbacks with a 18-3 win.  Led by the  home run and six RBI game from Jose Silva the team beat the rain drops and continued to advance in league play.

TM Baseball“We hit better today and i am very proud of the way they approached their at bats,” said coach Tony Melendez. “It was an all-star day for them.”

The TM Hanks Yanks are in their initial season with three teams in different age groups. The Hanks Yanks program is coordinated by longtime NY Yankees executive Ray Negron and founded by Yankees co-owner Hank Steinbrenner with the purpose of youngsters to play organized baseball in the New York City Tri-State area.

Silva and Edgar Montalvo had multiple hits among the seven by the Hanks Yanks. Silva hit his first home run of the season in the second inning and  TM got another one from Jacob Tiaseca. On the mound, Justin Chamarro earned the win and tossed two innings, allowing two runs on four hits and striking out three.

“It was a wall scraper,” Silva said about the home run. “I got lucky but that’s how it is sometimes.”
