Stonewall Democratic Club of NYC Endorses Elvin Garcia for City Council

On the day that President Trump announced he was banning our transgender brothers and sisters from serving in any capacity of the military, we stood up before a room full of activists who are on the forefront of the LGBTQ resistance fighting to defend us all from the White House assault on LGBTQ rights — and we, as the only openly gay candidate in the race for Council District 18, were enthusiastically endorsed by the premier citywide LGBTQ political club – the Stonewall Democratic Club of NYC.

Now more than ever, I’m proud to be a son of an immigrant and an openly gay man running for office to resist Trump and defend the rights of all marginalized groups at the most local level of government.”
