Owners of the once-popular Bronx Grill on East Tremont Avenue were observed at the beginning of July meeting with officials from the Golden Corral restaurant chain.

In the winter of 2016, the popular restaurant shut it’s doors, with the announcement that the location would re-open in the spring, 2017 as New York’s first Golden Corral.

One of the unidentified owners stated there had been a delay, but declined to elaborate. She added that the restaurant would be open before the end of the year.

That was before vandals apparently returned sometime over the next 48-hours and sprayed graffiti across much of the building, as well as appearing to have broken a pair of windows.

The owner was unreachable when a call for comment was made.
