The Hottest Comedians in the Country Are Heating Up Comedy Night In August at Empire City Casino

Laugh Out Loud with Joe DeVito on August 16th and Eddie Ifft on August 30th

Yonkers, NY—The hottest stand-up comedy acts in New York make for summer laughs at Empire City Casino when Joe DeVito (August 16th) and Eddie Ifft (August 30th) headline this month’s Comedy Nights in the casino’s Good Time Room.

After working as a journalist for more than a decade, Joe DeVito dove into comedy at the demands of his coworkers.  He has gone on to appear on such nationally-acclaimed television shows as CBS’ “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham,” and NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” where he made it to the semi-final round on season five of the hit show.  DeVito’s dead-on timing, unexpected twists and sheer flights of lunacy have made him a hit in the top comedy clubs in New York City.  With quick wit on his side, DeVito can take any subject, from relationships and current events to his Italian American family, and have the audience roaring with laughter.

Joining DeVito on the 16th will be featured comedienne Abby Rosenquist, who has appeared at such comedy festivals as the prestigious Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal, the Moontower Comedy Festival in Texas, and the Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland, OR.  The MC for the night will be Phileo Shacor.

Eddie Ifft is a world traveler who has performed to sold out crowds in over 15 countries. He also hosted one of the most successful podcasts in the comedy world, “Talkin’ Sh*t,” for over five years.  Ifft has released several comedy DVDs, and has made numerous appearances on such popular television shows as E!’s “Chelsea Lately,” NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” and Showtime’s “The Green Room with Paul Provenza.”  Additionally, Ifft has worked as a host of Shark Week, earned a job as “man-on-the-street” on “The Queen Latifah Show,” has been working diligently on his new podcast, “The Bingle Show,” which premiered in July 2017.

The laughfest on the 30th will also feature Sarah Tollemache.  A dry, quirky and hilarious comedienne, Tollemache was featured on consecutive seasons of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” and is a favorite at many of New York’s top clubs and alternative venues.  Bronx-native Menuhin Hart is MC for the night.  Hart has appeared at New York City’s legendary Carolines and Gotham Comedy Clubs, was a semi-finalist on NBC’s “Standup for Diversity,” and continues to write music and sketches for several podcasts.  Within the comedy circuit, he remains known as the “class clown.”

Doors open at 7:00 p.m. and the show begins at 8:00 p.m.  Tickets are sold at the door the night of the show.  Admission is $5 for Empire Club Members and $25 for non-members; non-members can stop by any promotions booth prior to the show and join the Empire Club for free.  Elite Club and President’s Club members gain free admission.  All attendees receive a complimentary drink ticket.
