Announcing New York City Council District 18 Nonpartisan Candidate Forum

New York August 7, 2017 – The Garifuna Coalition USA, Inc. and the NAACP Parkchester Branch are pleased to announce the New York City Council District 18 nonpartisan Candidate Forum.

The nonpartisan Forum is scheduled on Thursday, September 7th, 2017. The forum will be held at PS 106 – 1514 Olmstead Avenue (Auditorium) Bronx, NY 10462, beginning at7:00 PM and ending at 8:30 PM. Doors will be opened at 6:30pm. In compliance with the New York City Department of Education Regulation of the Chancellor D-130, the followingcandidates have been invited to participate: Michael Beltzer, Eisley Constantine, Ruben Diaz, Amanda Farias, Elvin Garcia, Carl L Lundgren, William R Moore and John Perez.
The candidate Forum is part of NYC Votes, the voter engagement initiative of the NYC Campaign Finance Board (CFB).

The purpose of the Nonpartisan Candidate Forum is to give City Council District 18 voters an opportunity to hear candidates discuss the issues of importance to them in this election. The event is free and open to the public.  .

NYC Votes Candidate Forums follow the nonpartisan, unbiased and impartial format. Dominic Carter, news reporter and political commentator for Verizon FIOS/RNN News will moderate the forum.
