Tuesday is Primary Day — Know Your Pollsite & Your Candidates — Be Informed

NYC Votes!

NYC Votes wants you to know that Primary Day is tomorrow, Tuesday, September 12th. Bronx voters who are registered in a political party will elect candidates to compete in November’s general election. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. The city’s official Voter Guide, available at http://voting.nyc/, has everything voters need to get ready to vote for the city they want.

The Voter Guide is produced by the New York City Campaign Finance Board (CFB) to help city voters make informed choices at the polls. The Guide includes profiles of candidates for municipal offices, including their websites, social media handles, and top three issues.

Positions on the primary ballot that are covered by the Voter Guide include mayor, comptroller, public advocate, borough president and city council. Voters in some areas will also be casting ballots in judicial races and for their next district attorney.

  1. Use the NYC CFB Voter Guide to develop your voting plan.
  2. Type in your address to find out what’s on your ballot and where your poll site is located.
  3. Learn about the candidates.
  4. Check your voter registration to make sure that you’re eligible to vote in the primary.
