Partnerships Academy Workshop: NYC Street Resources

REGISTER HERE to attend NYC Street Tree Resources on Monday 10/2!

This workshop is FREE to attend and dinner will be provided! Join us on Monday 10/2 from 6:30 – 8:30pm at Bushwick Inlet Park Building (Kent Ave & N 9th St, Brooklyn, NY 11249).

Did you know that there are over 220,000 Street Trees in NYC? These trees remove air pollutants, reduce storm water run-off, and provide shade & shelter making our city more livable. Volunteers play a huge role in maintaining NYC’s Street Trees and beautifying our blocks! Join us at this workshop to hear from street tree experts about ways that new and experienced volunteers can get involved. Also hear from NYC community leaders about innovative tree-related neighborhood projects and programs!

Our expert speakers will include:

  • Sam Bishop, Director of Education, Trees NY
  • Maria Amin from NYC Parks Stewardship
  • James Kaechele, Director, New York Tree Trust
  • Delancey Nelson, Outreach Coordinator, Partnerships for Parks
  • Lawrence Rodriguez, Founder, Casa Frela
  • Nancy Perez, Chair, 27th Street Block Association
