Chairman Crowley Statement on Las Vegas Shooting
(Queens, NY) – House Democratic Caucus Chairman Joe Crowley (D-NY) issued the following statement after the horrific shooting in Las Vegas, which took more than 50 innocent lives and left more than 500 wounded:
“Our hearts break for the innocent victims and their families who witnessed a night of enjoyment turn into one of terror. My prayers, and the prayers of all Americans, are with all those impacted by this horrific attack.
“This was an act of senseless violence designed to engulf us in fear. But our spirit will not be broken. We are stronger as a nation when we stand together to reject this cowardice.
“In the days and weeks to come, we will stand with the people of Las Vegas as they recover from this tragedy. Congress must also come together to assess ways for us to prevent these heinous attacks. The onus is on us to bring it to an end and ensure the safety and security of all Americans.”
