Gibson Urges Continued Hurricane Relief Donations

COUNCIL MEMBER GIBSON ENCOURAGES DONATIONS FOR HURRICANE MARIA RELIEF EFFORT

vanessagibsonnatlactionThis week, Council Member Vanessa L. Gibson reminded Bronxites, the people of Council District 16 and across New York City to continue making donations of items that are critically needed for Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Island’s recovery from Hurricane Maria.

“No amount is too small. All donated items will be delivered to families on the islands directly affected by the storm,” said Gibson.

Below is a list of items New York City is collecting to send to those affected by Hurricane Maria:
Diapers
Baby food
Batteries
First Aid Supplies
Feminine Hygiene Products

Please note the City is only collecting the items listed above. Donations will be accepted daily during the hours of 7 am through 9 pm. Please be aware that FDNY members at these locations may not be present during drop-off hours if they are responding to an emergency.
