Chairman Crowley Statement on President Trump’s Further Sabotage of Americans’ Health Care
(Washington, D.C.) – House Democratic Caucus Chairman Joe Crowley (D-NY) released the following statement after President Trump issued an executive order designed to undermine our nation’s insurance markets:
“This is a last-ditch effort by President Trump to dismantle the Affordable Care Act, despite desperate pleas from Americans for Republicans to join with Democrats to improve health care in this country.
“Undermining insurance markets will cause premiums to skyrocket, leave hard-working men and women vulnerable to cut-rate care that doesn’t cover basic health care needs, and make the system worse for all Americans. This executive order is not a solution, it’s just another way for President Trump to sabotage Americans’ health care.”
