Easter Egg Hunts Held in Soundview, Norwood
by David Greene

Youngsters across the borough participated in traditional Easter egg hunts held across the borough. On Saturday, March 31, a crowd over over 100 children turned out for the 2nd Annual Easter Egg Hunt in Soundview Park hosted by the Southeast Bronx Community Council with assistance from Friends of Soundview Park, community activist Michael Beltzer and Community Board 9. On Easter Sunday, April 1, dozens of kids turned out at the Williamsbridge Oval Park in Norwood for UpLife Foundation’s 1st annual event. Foundation founders Robert Salkey and Reginald Joseph grew up in the area and started the foundation to help the surrounding community. Both events also had face-painting, give-a-ways and music.
