YANKEES ANNOUNCE ‘YANKEES HONOR ROW’ INITIATIVE TO HIGHLIGHT COMMUNITY GROUPS IN JUDGE’S CHAMBERS THIS SEASON

Yankees to Honor Local Community Organizations with Judge’s Chambers Seats Throughout 2018

The New York Yankees today announced the creation of the Yankees Honor Row, a monthly initiative that throughout the 2018 season will honor community-based organizations committed to making a positive difference by hosting them in the Judge’s Chambers seating section at Yankee Stadium.

The first recipients of the Yankees Honor Row initiative will be a group of Bronx public school students (grades 5-8) and teachers, who are attending the Yankees’ 1:05 p.m. game on Thursday, April 26 vs. Minnesota as part of the Yankees’ Bronx Education All Star Day. In partnership with the New York City Department of Education, approximately 9,000 students will be recognized at Yankee Stadium that day for their achievements and commitment to leadership, academics, community service and teamwork. The group of 18 individuals (students and teachers) will have the opportunity to enjoy the game from the Judge’s Chambers, where they will receive official Judge’s Chambers robes and foam gavels.
