Co-hosted by Healthfirst, Parent Leaders from 80 Education Institutions Awarded Certificates of Appreciation

Senator Jeff Klein today hosted his Annual Education Leadership Breakfast, which honors Public, Private and Catholic School Parent Leaders throughout the 34th District in the Bronx and Westchester. Nearly 200 Parents, Principals, School Administrators, Community Education Councils and other Education Leaders attended the breakfast and presentation ceremony, where Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to Parent Leaders representing 80 education institutions. The event took place at F&J Pine Tavern in Pelham Parkway, and was co-hosted by community partner Healthfirst, with Vice President George Hulse in attendance to lead the celebration.

“It is my pleasure to host this event every year, and a privilege to personally thank the parents in our community who work tirelessly to make our schools better and improve education and programs for our children,” said Senator Jeff Klein. “The parents acknowledged today are true community leaders.”

“The Educational Leadership Breakfast honors the dynamic leaders in our community who educate, engage, and empower our children daily,” said George Hulse, Healthfirst Vice President of Community Engagement. “Their active involvement, unwavering dedication, and collaborative efforts are crucial in the communities we proudly serve.”

Senator Klein delivered the Keynote Address, which praised the contributions made by parent leaders, parent coordinators, PTA’s and other associations throughout the district, and discussed 2018 State Budget education funding, initiatives and achievements.
