U.S. Jets in Flyby

Early-risers along the Hudson River got the rare treat of watching a squadron of the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angel F/A-18 fighter jets that conducted a flyover up the Hudson River on Thursday, May 24. The jets flew North, up the Hudson River to the former Tappan Zee Bridge, now called the Governor Mario M. Cuomo Bridge, before flying Southwest to LaGuardia Airport in Queens. The unusual event was one of the many events held during Fleet Week, 2018. Some alerts reported that the jets could cause a sonic boom, but none were reported.
