A Hanukkah Message From Governor Andrew M. Cuomo

Dear Friend,

Tonight, members of the Jewish community in New York celebrate the first night of Hanukkah.

The Festival of Lights commemorates the courage and perseverance of the Jewish people, who never lost faith in the face of danger.

The message of Hanukkah teaches us the lesson of determination and endurance. This is more important than ever today. Our state has found strength by coming together during difficult times and building back better than ever.

During this time, we reflect on these lessons and commend our communities for their commitment to work together to build a stronger and more vibrant New York — one that continues to shine its light of hope and progress throughout the nation and the world.

I wish all those celebrating Hanukkah a joyous and happy holiday.

Sincerely,
