Zumba for Bronx Shelter Pets

Rachel Mazza and Adrienne Hanley Kenny held a zumba fundraiser to benefit NYC’s Top Dog, Inc., the only animal rescue shelter in the Bronx.  Rachel Mazza is President of the Throggs Neck Girls Softball League and Adrienne Hanley Kenny is a Zumba Fitness Instructor at the New York Sports Club.  The Zumba Master Class was held at Preston High School on 2780 Schurz Ave in the Bronx.

These two beautiful strong ladies provided the class a fun and exciting fitness dance class while raising funds for our homeless pets. At least 15 -20 ladies were confidently dancing in unity on the gym floor. After the Zumba class finished, a raffle was held and the winner of the $100 prize was Gina Peralta.  However, the young kind girl returned the prize as a donation to the animal rescue shelter.  Gina bought her ticket at the New York Sports Club, which she is a member.

The total raised by the class was $502 that will be matched generously by IAC/InterActive Corp, an American internet company, bringing the total to $1,004.  With all the music, dancing, and love the event ended on an exorbitant note when one of the participant inquired about adopting a pet.

Our community prospers when we all come together to help in any way they can even with a dance.
