Monsignor Scanlan High School in Throgg’s Neck suffered a violent 3-Alarm fire on Friday, January 17 that started at approximately 6:10pm and was extinguished in short order.
Flames shooting out of the building windows and exits greeted firefights when they arrived at the scene. Luckily, they were able to contain the fire completely.
The school, located at 915 Hutchinson River Parkway, suffered significant building damage, but no injuries have been reported.
