Ukrainian Protester Tells Tale of Torture

“They crucified me. They punctured my hands,” said Dmytro Bulatov, one
of the leaders of mass anti-government motorcade protests, pointing to
marks on the backs of his hands.

As reported in Al Jazeera, Bulatov, 35, was brutalized after capture
by pro-government abducters. After a week’s disappearance, he was
abandoned, made it to safety, and appeared on Ukrainian television,
speaking of the torture.

“They cut off my ear, slashed my face,” he said. “There’s not a
single alive spot on my body. But I am alive, thank God,”
