Miss Harper, an adorable pitbull puppy, is ready for adoption, despite the hurdles she has faced from three abusers.

She was brought to the Nassau Country Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) in September, missing both ears and a cut off leg. Three people, a veterinary technician and the previous two owners, were arrested in early February on animal cruelty charges.

Gary Rogers of the Nassau Country SPCA stated that they have been working with the New York State Attorney General’s office: “They worked very hard with the SPCA to pursue this crime and get an arrest. And now we’re hoping that there will be justice.” Despite her injuries Gary Rogers says that she is a, “loving, playful puppy.”

If interested in adopting Miss Harper, you can contact the SPCS at adopt@ncspca.us or (516) 812-7771.
