Hundreds of Miners Trapped in South Africa, Dozen Freed As of 4PM EST

Hundreds of South Africans are trapped in a mine in Benoni, a suburb of Johannesburg, after illegally entering a Chinese gold mine, and may be prosecuted if rescued.  Reportedly more than 200 are still underground and at least twelve have been rescued, including the man below.

Gold is still a huge business in South Africa and just last month in a similar mine, a rare blue diamond was unearthed.
