Bronx, NY, February 19, 2014 — St. Raymond Elementary School is hosting its annual Feasts of Saints Patrick and Joseph Celebration on Sunday, March 16. The event begins with the 12:00 p.m. Mass at St. Raymond Church and is followed by an Irish-Italian luncheon and entertainment in the school’s auditorium at 1:00 p.m. In addition to Irish and Italian food, the Sts. Patrick and Joseph Celebration includes Irish and Italian music. There will be performances by the parish music director and teacher, Irish native Patrick Connolly, who will sing in Irish and in English; traditional Irish step dancers; an Italian aria and Neapolitan favorites sung by (Mr.) Dale Smith, the music director for St. Francis Xavier Parish in the Bronx; the St. Raymond Elementary School Bell Choir and Cheerleaders; and the St. Raymond Junior and Senior Choirs. Both the Irish and the Italian national anthems will be sung in their native tongues, Amhrán Na Bhfiann (Irish) and Fratelli D’Italia (Italian).
