On Monday, Councilman James Vacca, former District Manager of Community Board 10, chaired a Council technology meeting involving legislation to stream community board meetings as well as Council hearings live on the Internet.  While one can obtain videos after the fact of Council meetings, community board meetings are not taped and will be by the end of the year.  We at the Bronx Chronicle are bringing you a preview today, as we cover last night’s Community Board 11 meeting, and include a number of videos.

The night began with The Yankee Awards (click for video) and the pledge of allegiance.

Among other issues, the Board  discussed a number of liquor license renewals, and while the board voted in favor of supporting Baychester’s Royal Coach Diner renewal, a number of members discussed recent noise complaints in the wee hours from the vicinity of the diner, and the practice of partying in the parking lot after “last call” on weekends was discussed.  District Manager Jeremy Werneke will be following up with the diner.

A representative from the Morris Park library spoke about upcoming offering from the branch.
