2014 NJCAA Indoor Track and Field National Championships

Written by Gary Axelbank

On March 7 and March 8 Monroe College will be hosting the 2014 NJCAA Indoor Track and Field National Championships at the Armory in Manhattan.

It’s the first time the NJCAA has held a track and field event within the five boroughs and more than four hundred athletes representing fifty teams from fourteen states from as far away as Arizona and as near as NJ will come to New York to compete.

Here’s the story we’ve posted about it:

Over the next week, we will be adding information about the live webcast and further details on Monroe’s competitors.

There are a number of fascinating individual stories about athletes from within the city, throughout the NY Metro area including Westchester and Long Island, NJ, and CT, a number of international athletes, and of course the notion that the large majority of teams from around the country rarely come to NY or get to perform in professional facilities like the Armory.

If you’d like to be credentialed for the meet, just send me an email with the name(s) of the personnel…. and whether you will need photo access, etc.

If you’d like to work on preview material or need further information, please let me know. Thanks in advance for your coverage of this unique and exciting event.
