49th Precinct Deputy Inspector Lorenzo Johnson, has been reassigned; he will serve as the new Commanding Officer at the 40th Precinct. Since Johnson took over for DI Kevin Nicholson in June 2012, the 49th has been rated one of the safest preincts in the city, with steep drops in crime annually. More on this soon from the Chronicle.
