As reported by Yahoo:

“You know that mammoth cake version of Wrigley Field the Chicago Cubs had made for the stadium’s 100th birthday party? Well, it’s sitting in the trash somewhere right now and the Cubs aren’t happy about it.

A Reddit user named ChewysDingleberrys spied the cake waiting to be disposed of after Wednesday’s celebratory events and posted pics online of the battered, uneaten cake, prompting the Cubs to issue a statement of disappointment.

The 400-pound cake — made by celebrity baker Buddy Valastro of “Cake Boss” fame — was on display outside Wrigley Field before the game Wednesday. The plan was to move it to The Field Museum in Chicago, which was hosting the Cubs’ $600-per-ticket Bricks and Ivy Ball that evening.”  More on Yahoo sports.
