Adding to a growing number of union supporters, Steamfitters Local 638 endorsed the reelection of Senator Jeff Klein on Wednesday.
“Jeff Klein is a proven leader and a fighter for the middle class. He’s been a longtime friend of the Steamfitters Local 638. He believes in the prevailing wage and he’s always been a proponent of labor issues. We endorse his bid for reelection to the 34th State Senate District,” said President Patrick Dolan.
“I thank the Steamfitters Local 638 for their longtime support and their endorsement. It’s hardworking New Yorkers, like their members, that I keep in mind as I shepherd Democratic legislation through the Senate,” Klein said.
Steamfitters Local 638 joins Klein’s expanding list of union backers including the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Workers Union, the Transportation Workers Union Local 100, Plumbers Union Local 1, the Uniformed Firefighter Association of Greater New York, Teamsters Joint Council 16, and District 9 IUPAT.
