Mason Tenders’ District Council of Greater New York and Long Island Announce Support for State Senator Klein

Mason Tenders’ District Council of Greater New York and Long Island endorsed state Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester) for reelection to the 34th State Senate District on Monday.

“Jeff Klein has always been a strong supporter of working people. I know this as a union leader and a constituent,” said Mike Prohaska, Business Manager of Construction and General Building Laborers Local 79, the largest Laborers’ Local Union in the country, and Secretary-Treasurer of the Mason Tenders’ District Council.

“To have a State Senator who not only cares about preserving our shrinking middle class, but who is also a truly independent Democrat, is enormously important to our district and the Senate as a whole. The Mason Tenders’ District Council of Greater New York and Long Island is proud to endorse Jeff Klein for reelection,” Prohaska added.

“I’m honored to receive the endorsement of the Mason Tenders’ District Council of Greater New York and Long Island. Each and everyday I strive to make this state an affordable place for middle class families, like their members, and I look forward to continuing that work well into the future,” said state Senator Klein.

The Mason Tenders’ District Council endorsement adds to a long list of union support for state Senator Klein. Labor endorsements include: theTransportation Workers Union Local 100, the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Workers Union, Plumbers Union Local 1, the Uniformed Firefighters Association of Greater New York, Teamsters Joint Council 16, DC 9 IUPAT, Steamfitters Local 638, the New York Hotel and Motel Trades Council, the Detectives’ Endowment Association, the National NYCPD 10-13 Organization, Port Authority PBA, the Uniformed Fire Officers Association and the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Workers Union Local 338.
