Dear Neighbor,
The second of four public hearings to be held by the Rent Guidelines Board (RGB) on their recently proposed rent increases – 0 to 3% for 1-year lease renewals that start Oct. 1st, and 5 to 4.5% for 2-year lease renewals – will take place this Monday night in Lower Manhattan. Please see additional details below:

This year is historic because it’s the first year in New York’s history that 0 has been included in the range, making a rent freeze possible!
A final vote on the matter will take place on Monday, June 23rd, in The Great Hall
at Cooper Union, located at 7 East 7th Street in Manhattan, starting at 6 pm.
If rent rates are important to you, we encourage you to attend one of these hearings and to let the RGB know where you stand on this range of possible rent increases.
Additional information about the proposed rent increases, as well as detailed instructions on how to comment on them and make your voice heard, can be found on the RGB’s website at http://nycrgb.org/
Thanks and please help spread the word!
