On Thursday afternoon, over 35 students, community leaders and local residents  braved the rain for the  Pelham Parkway Peace March, and marched up Bronxwood then down Mace Avenues, and up Williamsbridge Road to Pelham Parkway Houses where a shooting occurred 2 weeks ago that inspired the event.

The event was organized by Bronx Park East Community Association leadership Raphael Schweizer and Kenny Agosto, and was attended by Allerton/Pelham Parkway residents Tracy Alvarado, Nelson Gonzalez, Laurenne Talbert, Eloise Howell, Carmen Tavarez, KathleenBlue, Kathleen Jones, Joey Smartschan, Christine Ryall, 49th Precinct Council President Joe Thompson, Edith Blitzer and Elaine Feder of the Pelham Parkway Neighborhood Association, and Luisa Benedetto from Councilman Ritchie Torres’s office, among others including members of the media.   C.I.M.S.
