Koppell Campaign Plans Opposition Rally Outside Klein Campaign Headquarters This Afternoon

Chronicle sources have confirmed that the campaign of Oliver Koppell will be holding a rally on Williamsbridge Road today near Lydig Avenue outside the campaign office shared by opponent Senator Jeff Klein and Assemblyman Mark Gjonaj, who have called on supporters to come out at 1:30 p.m. to show their support and stage a counter rally.    The rallies come on the heel of yesterday’s announcements by Senator Klein and Governor Andrew Cuomo on the future organization of the State Senate, in which the Independent Democratic Conference, which Koppell has railed against, will cease to maintain a separate conference from the Senate Democratic Conference.
