Jeff Klein endorsed by UFCW Union Local 2013 for Reelection

UFCW_Intl_Logo[1]_2State Senator Jeff Klein has received the endorsement of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 2013 for the coming election.

Mark Carotenuto, President of UFCW Local 2013, said, “We are proud to announce our support for Senator Jeff Klein today. We strongly endorse Senator Klein and we look forward to working with him and a new Democratic majority in the Senate.”

This move does not come unexpectedly, as the Union’s dealings with FreshDirect has been on his radar for some time, as well as Universal Pre-K and the increasing of minimum wage, all issues that the Union holds in high regard.

Senator Klein can add this endorsement to a long list of unions supporting his re-election bid, spanning industries across the working spectrum.

The United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 2013 endorsed state Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester) for reelection on Friday.

When it comes to supporting working families, Senator Klein’s track record is unparalleled – from freezing rents for seniors to providing universal Pre-K to increasing the minimum wage – he has delivered for New York families. We strongly endorse Senator Klein and we look forward to working with him and a new Democratic majority in the Senate.”
