Candidate Fernando Tirado says, “Voters should be more engaged with those they are supposed to represent them, and not just during election season. These debates provide an opportunity for voters to know where politicians stand on the issues and address their concerns. It also combats voter apathy, which is chronic in the 78 district, by providing an avenue for civic engagement. The ultimate goal is to have voters make informed decisions as to who is the best candidates to represent them”.

NWBx Dems founder Anthony Rivieccio says, ” Frankly, I believe our community has to sit down and refocus on our goals, and this could be a tremendous start”.
