Gov. Cuomo & Lt. Gov Candidate Kathy Hochul Rally Dems for Klein Reelection

As election day nears, Governor Cuomo and his running mate, Lt. Governor candidate Kathy Hochul held a rally to drum up further support for Senator Jeff Klein in the 34th State District in Riverdale.

Taking some time off from their own seemingly understated (and undefended, largely staying away from debates) run for reelection (Hochul to replace incumbent Lt. Governor Robert Duffy), Cuomo, in no uncertain terms, stood behind Senator Klein’s reelection bid as supporters cheered and celebrated.

“Jeff Klein has fought for the people of Westchester and the Bronx for years. Jeff has been a relentless advocate for the people of New York, fighting for common sense gun control and universal statewide pre-kindergarten.,” said Governor Cuomo.

Hochul said, ““Jeff Klein is the right leader to help keep New York moving in the fight direction. I look forward to partnering alongside Jeff as we pass the Women’s Equality Act, a minimum wage increase and the DREAM Act in Albany as quickly as possible.”

Bronx BP Diaz Jr., Bronx Dem County Chairman and Assemblyman Carl Heastie and Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz also spoke at the rally, showing support for Klein’s progressive achievements.

Klein thanks all who attended for their support, saying, “This campaign has reminded me of the power we have to make a difference together. So I am asking for your continued trust, for your support and most importantly your vote on Tuesday.”
