Approximately 232,340 new cases of invasive breast cancer and 39,620 breast cancer deaths occurred in 2013 amongst U.S. women. Nationwide, one in 8 women will develop breast cancer in her lifetime. In New York, almost 15,000 women are diagnosed with the disease.
