Public Advocate Letitia James Extends Wishes for Meaningful Yom Kippur

“As Jewish New Yorkers prepare to observe Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, I extend my best wishes for a meaningful fast, as well as peace, health, and happiness in the New Year. Yom Kippur brings us a message of hope, forgiveness, and spiritual rebirth. All across the world, people will gather in synagogues and community centers to observe one of the holiest days of the Jewish calendar.

In this time of intense reflection, may we continue to work with people of all faiths, in order to share peace and harmony throughout New York City. I continue to pray for peace between Israel and her neighbors, as well as across the globe.

Best wishes for a G’mar Chatima Tova.”
