On Wednesday, October 15, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. will host a press conference urging cyclists from all over the region to participate in the 20th annual “Tour De Bronx,” the largest free cycling event in New York State.
This year’s event takes place on Sunday, October 26, 2014. Participants are once again encouraged to tour Bronx historic districts, vibrant neighborhoods, beautiful waterfront and great greenways while enjoying a 25 or 40 mile bike ride. Riders can register for the event at www.tourdebronx.org.
This greatly anticipated event is co-hosted by Transportation Alternatives, the Bronx Overall Economic Development Corporation The Bronx Tourism Council, the Bronx YMCA, Montefiore Medical Center, St. Barnabas Hospital, Bronx Lebanon Medical Center, Coca Cola and Domino’s. The ride culminates at the New York Botanical Garden, where riders will enjoy refreshments and a concert.
