Wave Hill Events Nov 07–Nov 14

This is an especially good week for walks. Two bird walks with the incomparable Gabriel Willow on Sunday—one our regular monthly stroll for birders, and the other a walk for families—pair nicely with two regular Garden Highlights Walks, each led by a Wave Hill Garden Guide. The Guides are well up on what’s new in the garden, but this is also an opportunity for them to share their own take on the landscape. Thus no two walks are ever the same, any more than any day in the garden is ever quite like any other.

Oddly enough, two, and perhaps even three, of the installations in Glyndor Gallery’s exhibition Recapturing the Scenic Wilds feature birds.  And it so happens that the fall woodworking session gets participants building a bird feeder. (The woodworking workshop is almost full, by the way, so I recommend registering soon.) So I guess it’s a week for the birds, too.
