Sadly, a third of all American women will have experienced domestic violence in their lifetime. And, every 9 seconds in the U.S. a woman is assaulted or beaten, according to dosomething.org.
To help victims of domestic violence, NYC Council Member Andy King and the Urban Justice Center will be holding Domestic Violence Legal Outreach counseling on Monday, Nov. 17th, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the District Office of Council Member King , 940 East Gun Hill Rd., Bronx.
An attorney will advise about family law, child support, custody and visitation rights, and orders of protection.
