SENATOR KLEIN GIVES HOLIDAY GIFTS TO BRONX CHILDREN AT 1st ANNUAL BREAKFAST WITH SANTA

State Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester) joined Santa Claus Saturday morning to give holiday gifts to children at the first annual Breakfast with Santa.  More than 200 community members, children and families came together at St. Clare of Assisi School to celebrate the holiday season – enjoying breakfast, crafts, fun and a special visit from Santa.

“The holidays are about celebration and tradition, so in that spirit, this marks the first year we’ve hosted Breakfast with Santa for Bronx families to enjoy,” said Senator Klein. “By all accounts it was a rousing success — filled with lots of good cheer, fun company and lots of presents. I’m so grateful to all who came out to join in the festivities and wish everyone a wonderful holiday season and a very happy and healthy year ahead.”

Guests arrived at 10:00 a.m. and enjoyed a continental breakfast of bagels, pastries, muffins, coffee and juice in the cafeteria. Children and families then proceeded to the gymnasium where they participated in a variety of fun activities – including holiday crafts, face painting, games and more. The event featured a live DJ, cotton candy and family pictures with Santa.

Each child was presented with a holiday gift at the end of the breakfast: a small teddy bear and everyone’s favorite holiday treat, a candy cane.
