Bronx Pets – Gary and Stormy

Pet’s are very important parts of our lives. Whether we or society realizes it, a pet will come into our world, grow on us, and love us. When it’s time for them to leave, it is a painful loss. Sadly, one of this week’s Bronx Pets has passed away.

Meet Gary and Stormy

Johanne

Both rescues from Yonkers Animal Shelter, Gary and Stormy are brother and sister. It has been six years since their owner, Joanne, rescued them and it seems that Stormy has taken on her own ‘rescues’ in the form of beanie babies that she treats as her own kittens. Gary, being the pesky brother would flip over Stormy’s ‘kittens’ and use them as toys.

Sadly, Gary has passed away this week. The Bronx Chronicle would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Joanne. Let us all join in on remembering the loving and joyful memories that Gary created.

If anyone is experiencing the loss of a beloved pet, the ASPCA has a Pet Loss Hotline at (877) GRIEF-10. Rainbows Bridge also offers multiple listings for hotlines on their site.
