SENATOR KLEIN GIVES MORE THAN 400 HOLIDAY GIFTS TO CHILDREN AT THIRD ANNUAL THROGGS NECK HOUSES TOY DONATION

State Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester) visited the Throggs Neck Houses on Tuesday, December 23rd  to give holiday gifts to children and their families.  At the toy donation, Senator Klein presented boys and girls with fun gifts like Monopoly, Clue, dolls, toy cars, a stuffed “Olaf” from the popular movie Frozen and more.

“Nothing makes me happier than seeing the smiling faces of the children at Throggs Neck Houses when they select their gifts. During this holiday season, it’s so important to give back to the community, and especially to support and provide for our kids,” said Senator Klein. “This year marks our third annual toy donation at the Throggs Neck Houses, and each year it just gets better and better. A special thanks to everyone at Throggs Neck Houses for helping to make this happen. I wish everyone a very, Merry Christmas and a healthy and happy New Year.”

Toys were presented at the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club where children enjoyed refreshments, snacks and holiday treats, including Christmas cupcakes. In the corner stood a glittering Christmas tree full of colorful lights and baubles. Soon after the event began, Santa Claus made a special appearance, helping Senator Klein hand out gifts and spread the holiday cheer.

The Throggs Neck Houses, located on Schley Avenue,  are home to some 2,500 children and families. This year marks the third annual Throggs Neck Houses toy donation.
