**THIS WEEKEND** MulchFest January 10 & 11, 2015

On Saturday, January 10th and Sunday, January 11th, NYC Parks will host the annual MulchFest from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. each day at locations citywide. Bring your holiday tree to one of over 80 designated parks to be recycled into mulch that will nourish plantings across the city or your own garden!

For more information about MulchFest and a list of sites in your borough, visit the Mulchfest website. MulchFest is supported this year by Whole Foods and 92.3 AMP Radio.

In the BRONX, bring your tree to one of four chipping locations, to get free mulch for your garden:

Brook Park
Soundview Park
Van Cortlandt park
Metropolitan Oval

Help shape the Bronx borough’s preeminent meeting of green minds and park activists. All are welcome! Bring YOUR ideas and suggestions for this year’s 21^st Annual Bronx Speak Up (Feb 28, 2015)

Directions by Subway: Take the #2 to Bronx Park East. After you walk down staircase, check to make sure you are facing the dead end (you should see green trucks and do not enter signs). Walk this way until you reach the front of the building (it faces the Bronx River Parkway). Enter building and inform the receptionist that you are going to the conference room.
