OCTAVIO RIVERA | Rivera faces up to 25 years to life behind bars following a conviction at trial for Assault in the 1st Degree for the August 2012 knife attack that seriously wounded Walter Romaine, in a dispute over drugs and money. Because this is Rivera’s sixth violent felony, BXDA will move to have him sentenced at a higher level, under provisions of the NYS Penal Law. Romaine and fellow crack abuser Flossey Samuels entered drug rehabilitation programs and have since made remarkable turn-arounds in their lives. |

Both incidents took place in the Edenwald Houses, the largest NYCHA development in the Bronx. |

MARCO MOSSO | Mosso is to be sentenced on promoting a sexual performance by a child, a class D felony, to which he pled guilty in December 2014. A search warrant executed on Mosso’s apartment resulted in the discovery of child pornography on his computer, which he shared with other users through a file-sharing program. He faces 2 to 6 years in jail. |
