Rosario is accused of stabbing Lopez multiple times in front of their three children.  He was disarmed when shot by two responding police officers.

Both Martinez and Monegro are accused of kicking the 41-year-old homeless man in the head as he slept on the steps of St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church.

HERNAN VEGA Vega is charged with 2nd Degree Manslaughter, 2nd Degree Vehicular Manslaughter, 2nd Degree Reckless Endangerment, and Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drug for the New Year’s Day 2015 death of Pamela Pimental. Vega’s Dodge Charger struck the livery cab Pimental was in on the Cross Bronx Expressway Service Road and Rosedale Avenue.

JOEY SCOTT Scott is charged with one count of 1st Degree Manslaughter and three counts of 2nd Degree Assault for the June 2012 death of 65-year-old school bus driver Juan Delvalle. Scott is accused of punching Delvalle with closed fists following an argument over a minor fender-bender. During the altercation, Devalle fell, hitting his head on the pavement, resulting in loss of consciousness. Critically injured, Devalle was placed on life support and eventually succumbed to his injuries.

DEANDRE MORRISON Morrison is charged with 2nd Degree Murder, 1st Degree Assault, two counts of 2nd Degree Assault, 2nd Degree Harassment, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon for the August 1st 2011 Melrose shooting death of Daniel Delgado. For no discernible reason, Morrison allegedly shot Delgado several times on East 153rd Street resulting in his death.

Ortega and Leiva are charged with 3 counts of 3rd Degree Robbery, 2 counts of 2nd Degree Robbery, 1st Degree and 3rd Degree Assault, and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon for the October 14th, 2012 University Heights shooting and wounding of an off-duty cop, Ivan Marcano, who was later promoted to detective and hailed as a hero by President Obama. Marcano was driving with his girlfriend when he observed a robbery in progress. The officer intervened and was shot in the chest. Shortly thereafter, Marcano happened upon the three suspects and fired several rounds, fatally wounding one of the men.

LARRY DAVIS Davis is charged with 2nd Degree Assault and Official Misconduct for the October 2012 incident in which Davis, a Rikers Island Captain, struck inmate Francisco Calderon with his baton. Calderon had earlier gotten into a fight with Davis’ brother (also a corrections officer), and was being escorted through the facility when Larry Davis allegedly attacked him.

EUGENE DONNELLY Officer Donnelly of the NYPD is charged with 3rd Degree Assault, 2nd Degree Criminal Trespass, and 3rd Degree Criminal Mischief stemming from a June 11, 2014 incident. He is accused of breaking into a woman’s Woodlawn apartment in the wee hours following drinking in celebration of his receipt of the Police Combat Cross.  He is accused of throwing the frightened resident to the floor and repeatedly pummeling her about the head.

Roys is accused of attacking the woman at the bus stop after a brief conversation and dragging her into a secluded area where he allegedly raped and robbed her.

OCTAVIO RIVERA Rivera faces up to 25 years to life behind bars following a conviction at trial for 1st Degree Assault for the August 2012 knife attack that seriously wounded Walter Romaine, in a dispute over drugs and money.  Because this is Rivera’s sixth violent felony, BXDA will move to have him sentenced at a higher level, under provisions of the NYS Penal Law.  Romaine and fellow crack abuser Flossey Samuels entered drug rehabilitation programs and have since made remarkable turn-arounds in their lives.
