JESUS AGUILERA Serial killer Jesus Aguilera will be sentenced following a guilty plea to 2nd Degree Murder for the November 2nd, 1981 asphyxiation death of Tolila Brown (a/k/a Tolila Moore). Aguilera is accused of strangling Brown and leaving her body in the vicinity of Crotona Park. Aguilera has already been convicted and is serving consecutive life sentences for two other 1981 murders that took place within days of one another, one in the Bronx, the other in Manhattan.  New DNA technology linked material found under Brown’s fingernails to Aguilera, allowing her murder to be solved.

LUIS GARCIA Garcia (aka Luis Montalvo) is charged with 2nd Degree Murder, 2nd Degree Attempted Murder, 1stDegree Manslaughter and 1st Degree Assault for the April 8th, 2011 death of Giovanni Rivera and the wounding of Jesus Barrios, a Mott Haven building super. Garcia allegedly shot both men in Barrios’ basement apartment after a night of partying. Despite being shot three times in his head, Barrios survived and is still the building super for his Tinton Avenue complex.

Sentencing

DIANA PANIAGUA Paniagua pled guilty to Endangering the Welfare of a Child and is to be sentenced for the June 2nd, 2014 neglect of her 2-year-old son in the vicinity of Ryder Avenue and 141st Street. Paniagua, in a drug induced state, left the infant alone and crying in his stroller. A passerby spotted the child and reported the incident to police.

HERNAN VEGA Vega is charged with 2nd Degree Manslaughter, two counts of 2nd Degree Vehicular Manslaughter, Criminally Negligent Homicide, two counts of Operating a Motor Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol, 3rd Degree Assault and 2nd Degree Reckless Endangerment for the 2015 New Year’s Day death of Pamela Pimentel. Vega’s Dodge Charger struck the livery cab Pimental was in on the Cross Bronx Expressway service road and Rosedale Avenue.

JUANA REYES Reyes is facing charges of 1st Degree Scheme to Defraud, 3rd Degree Grand Larceny and 3rd Degree Criminal Possession of Stolen Property for the July 2011 to May of 2014 scamming of prospective tenants out of Section 8 housing.  Reyes is accused of taking deposits from ten complainants while promising to help them obtain the affordable apartments.

Edmonds is accused of causing the deceased to fall 14 stories to her death. Edmonds allegedly threatened the victim during a dispute in her Tremont apartment.

The college-bound student and her parents were reportedly arguing over the daughter’s late hours at their Bedford Park home when the defendant allegedly killed the young woman by compressing her neck.

Williams allegedly struck the teens with his vehicle on Baychester Road and Crawford Avenue.

Jolivert is accused of strangling and stabbing the mother of his child in her Concourse Village apartment.  Recent developments in the science enabled DNA under the victim’s fingernails to be linked to Jolivert.

Days before Yang’s murder, all three defendants were involved in a separate incident for which Williams alone is charged with 1st Degree Robbery.

CHRISTIAN EMANUEL-WOMACK Emanuel-Womack (A.K.A Cookie) is charged with 2nd Degree Attempted Murder, 1st and 2nd Degree Assault and 2nd Degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the January 13th, 2013 shooting and wounding of a livery cab driver. He is accused of pulling a gun on the cab driver, shooting him in the shoulder. As the driver exited the vehicle, he allegedly fired several more rounds, striking the victim in his abdomen.
