Bronx Tech Meet-up Tonight, February 25

  • The Digital.NYC Five-Borough Tour comes to the Bronx

    Tonight’s Digital.NYC Bronx Tech Meet-up is a chance for all New Yorkers to connect to the city’s vibrant and growing tech ecosystem, and the jobs plus opportunities it generates.

    The meeting takes place tonight at Per Scholas, 804 E 138th Street (near 1 block south of Bruckner Blvd), Unit # 2, Bronx, NY 10454; 6:30 PM. Take the IRT #6 train to Cypress Avenue.

    Bronx residents and entrepreneurs are encouraged to participate, in order to send a message to NYC leaders that the Bronx cares about the tech-economy, and is engaged.

    Participants will hear from NYC’s leading entrepreneurs and investors discussing startup life in the Bronx and NYC. Panelists will discuss their experiences, highlighting the challenges and triumphs of startup business in the City. Panelists include:

    Majora Carter: Co-founder, Startup Box

    Pedro Torres Picón: Founder, Quotidian Ventures

    Kathryn Finney: Founder & Managing Director, DigitalUndivided

    Additionally, the Digital.NYC partnership will outline NYC’s best tech and startup resources, including today’s most effective ways to find a job, access startup capital, and tap into NYC’s burgeoning tech and startup scene.

    This event is being held in partnership with the Bronx Academy of Software Engineering and Bronx Tech Meetup.
