315-BGU-Orchid-Show-(12)-350.jpgDear Friends,

Spring is here, which means it’s time to start planting or transplanting the first crops of the season outside and turn those compost piles. Bronx Green-Up kicked off the growing season with our annual seed giveaway and special viewing of the fantastic Orchid Show here at The New York Botanical Garden for our community gardeners.

The NYC Compost Project is excited to announce the unveiling of new weekly food scrap drop-off sites in the Bronx! We launched our first site in March with the Friends of Van Cortlandt Park. Our second site will be opening on April 29th at the JFK High School Campus. See details below to find out how to participate at either site.

Read on for our upcoming gardening and composting events with Bronx Green-Up and the NYC Compost Project. Click on “More Information” to view all event descriptions on our website.
