ALONZO JOHNSON Johnson (aka ‘Boogie’) was found guilty at trial in March of Murder 2 and will be sentenced for his rolein the April 18th, 2012 robbery of Angel Mangual and Jose Andujar and Andujar’s subsequent death. Johnson’s accomplice, Craig Whitfield (aka Jungle), was found guilty at trial in December of 2014 on the same charge and was sentenced on April 6th to 25-99 years to life in prison. The incidents took place in the Edenwald Houses, the largest NYCHA development in the Bronx.

MICHAEL WEBB Webb (aka ‘Murda’) is the third defendant in the Whitfield/Johnson case and is facing charges of Murder 2, Manslaughter 1 and other crimes for his role in the April 18th robbery of both Angel Mangual and Jose Andujar and Andujar’s subsequent demise in the Edenwald Houses.

RAUL CRUZ Cruz is charged with Aggravated Animal Cruelty and Torturing and Injuring Animals for the January 2015 incident in which he allegedly struck a dog several times in the head with a shovel and buried the animal alive under a pile of snow.

ANDREW ATKINS Atkins is facing charges of Murder 2 and Manslaughter 1 for the death of his 19-year-old daughter Latia Taylor-Atkins on June 13th, 2014. The college-bound student and her parents were reportedly arguing over the daughter’s late hours at their Bedford Park home when the defendant allegedly killed the young woman by compressing her neck.

KRISTAL DELVALLE Delvalle is charged with Murder 2 and Manslaughter 1 for the March 9th, 2015 death of her boyfriend, Norberto Cruz-Valentin in their Carroll Place apartment. Delvalle is accused of stabbing the victim the chest with a knife.

Possible Start of Trial

RICHARD BLOOMFIELD Bloomfield is charged with Murder 2 and Manslaughter 1 for the November 2012 death of Madonna Martin. Martin, a nursing student and an LPN at Columbia-Presbyterian had been displaced by Hurricane Sandy, and temporarily moved into co-worker Bloomfield’s Mott Haven apartment. The defendant is accused of strangling his roommate and leaving her body in a parked car.

LUCIUS CRAWFORD Accused serial killer Crawford is charged with Murder 2 for the October 20th, 1993 death of Nella West. Crawford allegedly killed West by inflicting blunt force trauma to her head, torso and abdomen. The case remained unsolved until March of 2012 when advances in DNA technology connected Crawford to the murder.

AUSTIN BABB Babb is to be sentenced following a verdict of guilty for Murder 2, Assault 1 and Criminal Possession of A Weapon 2 after a month long trial in November 2014 for the wild August 7th, 2010 shooting at 1454 Grand Concourse. Babb was found guilty of killing 19-year-old Demetrius Jones and wounding three other individuals, including two other teenagers.

EUGENE DONNELLY NYPD Officer Donnelly is charged with Assault 3 and other crimes stemming from a June 11th, 2014 incident in which he is accused of breaking into a woman’s Woodlawn apartment in the wee hours following drinking in celebration of his receipt of the Police Combat Cross. He allegedly threw the frightened resident to the floor and repeatedly pummeled her about the head.
